One of the traditional performances in a Chinese New Year celebration comes from the amazing talents of the acrobat. Not only do they perform amazing physical feats, but they like to do them while balancing and spinning household items simultaneously.
Vicky Mense, Xi'an Owner and Cece Tsou, Manager, offer cabbage to the Lions in the Chinese New Year celebration. Traditionally, the owner of the business will attach a red envelope filled with money to a head of cabbage or lettuce, and then hold it above in the air. The lion will approach the greens, and 'eat' the greens but spit out the money. This part of the Lion Dance brings good fortune.
